About the Role

Deka Minas (Pty) Ltd is seeking a highly qualified Primary Teacher to join our international team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging and inclusive education based on the British National Curriculum to primary students in a diverse, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver effective lessons that meet individual learning needs
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment
  • Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that promotes students’ development
  • Monitor and assess student learning and progress through formative and summative assessments
  • Maintain accurate student records and reports
  • Foster a positive classroom climate that encourages mutual respect and cooperation
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Integrate technology to enhance learning experiences
  • Maintain classroom discipline and promote positive behavior
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school events
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to school-wide initiatives
  • Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and school values in all aspects of teaching

Requirements

  • UK / European passport holders preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or relevant subject completed face-to-face
  • PGCE Certificate (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) for UK applicants
  • SACE Registration for South African applicants
