About the Role
Profile Personnel is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our client’s team in Komani, Eastern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure Production consistently meets budget, goals, targets, and due dates-created value for business.
- Monitor stock losses / store variances.
- Track line productivity yield/ Labour productivity.
- Control and reduction of power and fuel consumption.
- Manage headcount budget and overtime.
- Detect and reveal deviations and trends in production, formulate action plans for recovery and improvement (e.g., stock taking).
- Ensure SHEQ management practices are applied, and the site conforms to regulatory and QMS requirements. Conduct risk audits.
- Align work procedures and processes to ensure smooth flow of work across departments.
- Manage, develop, and motivate the Production team to achieve Production objectives.
- Put plans in place for team development in line with the Care & Growth philosophy.
- Create and foster an environment and culture of teamwork.
- Adopt an inclusive team leadership approach.
- Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
- Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Be responsible for production output and product quality.
- Implement operational strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is essential.
- Degree (Manufacturing / Technical) is an added advantage.
- 5-10 years of relevant corporate experience.
- Food, beverage, or high-speed packaging experience.
- At least 3 years at managerial level.
- Strong track record of delivering results in a manufacturing role.
- Computer literacy.
