Job Description:
An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled Python Developer with Node.js expertise to join an innovative and dynamic team on a contract basis. This position offers the flexibility of remote work while collaborating with a forward-thinking organization based in Johannesburg.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Python and Node.js, with a passion for developing scalable, efficient, and robust applications. They will play a critical role in building and maintaining innovative software solutions while contributing to a collaborative and tech-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using Python and Node.js.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications.
- Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and version control.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Python Developer, with a strong focus on backend development.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Flask, Django, or Express.js.
- Proficiency in working with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Experience with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Advantages:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, React, or Angular.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Reference Number for this position is DB60023 which is a Contract position based in Gauteng (Remote) offering a cost to company salary negotiable between R550 to R750 per hour negotiable on experience and ability.
