About the Role
Join a leading FMCG team in the Western Cape as a Refrigeration Technician and contribute to maintaining optimal temperature control and efficient operation of refrigeration plants, cold storage facilities, and controlled-atmosphere rooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain refrigeration plants, cold storage facilities, and controlled-atmosphere rooms
- Perform routine inspections and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Ensure accurate temperature and gas set points, and maintain equipment for safe and reliable performance
- Utilize expertise in CA systems, ammonia handling, and automated control systems to maintain consistent cooling performance and operational reliability
Requirements
- Grade 12/NQF 4
- At least 5 years of experience in a production facility, ideally within the FMCG industry
- Diesel mechanic experience (at least 3-5 years)
- CAT A3 ammonia certification
- Strong knowledge of compressors, condensers, PLC/VSD control systems, and electrical fault-finding
