About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join our client’s luxury hospitality portfolio, operating an exclusive collection of safari lodges and properties. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for building and managing trade clients, driving revenue growth, and contributing to strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a portfolio of trade clients, including tour operators, travel agents, and DMCs, both locally and internationally
- Drive revenue growth and accommodation occupancy across the property portfolio through targeted sales activity, compelling presentations, and diligent account management
- Participate in cross-selling across the broader portfolio, contract negotiation and renewal, participation in trade shows and FAM trips, client training, and preparation of market and competitor reports
- Maintain and grow a structured client database using CRM systems
- Contribute to strategic planning by supporting the Head of Sales with reporting and business insights
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar sales role within the luxury travel or hospitality industry
- Formal qualification in Sales or a related field (advantageous)
- An existing network of trade contacts within the travel industry
- Experience working with tour operators, travel agents, and/or destination management companies
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders effectively
- Strategic and analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to sales
- Sound financial acumen and ability to operate within defined budgets
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Highly organised with strong time management and the ability to meet deadlines
