About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Butler to join our 5* Game Lodge in Klaserie, where you will collaborate closely with the butler team to deliver an outstanding guest experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the junior butler team, providing training and support as needed, and working in partnership with the kitchen to enhance the dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall guest service experience in the camp, ensuring that high standards are maintained
- Provide full-service functionality to guests; ensuring you are present for all mealtimes until guests are finished
- Be accountable for all service-related stock consumption and stock takes, including service-related items such as cutlery & crockery
- Interact with guests and ensure you collect all personal preferences and relevant information, using this to tailor make their experience
- Provide feedback to relevant management on any issues noticed by yourself or the guests
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Formal butler / hospitality qualifications
- Experience in a senior butler role with responsibilities such as stock takes, ordering, staff management, etc.
- Well spoken, organised, and able to work under pressure
- Good understanding of 5-star establishments
- Knowledge of the highest level of F&B customer service in a luxury environment
- Sound wine, cocktail, food knowledge preferred
- Sound knowledge when it comes to dietary requirements/preferences
Qualifications
Formal butler / hospitality qualifications are required for this role.
