Senior Reservations Consultant Location: Franschhoek / Durbanville Property Type: Luxury Property Group Salary: R25,000 Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a highly skilled Senior Reservations Consultant to join a prestigious luxury property group in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will have strong reservations experience, excellent administrative skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service to both clients and agents. Key Responsibilities: Administration Ensure all incoming emails and reservation messages are dealt with promptly and accurately Respond to all emails on the same business day Answer telephone calls courteously and professionally, as promptly as possible Accurately capture all reservation details in the PMS Maintain full knowledge of all rates, including rack and contracted STO rates File and retrieve reservation records accurately Work confidently with internal PMS and external reservation systems (e.g. Apply Below and other third-party platforms) Verify daily bookings prior to guest arrival for accuracy and confirmation Follow up on provisional reservations before expiry dates Ensure reservations are tracked correctly for statistical purposes (codes) Maintain accurate guest history records Hold in-depth knowledge of all rooms, suites, activities, and facilities, as well as competitor offerings Fully understand and advise on all special offers Provide accurate guidance on property logistics, including arrival and departure options, ensuring guests and agents are well informed Financial Aspects Ensure all reservations are quoted and confirmed on correct rates, with all compulsory charges applied Monitor deposits to ensure they are secured within 14 days of booking Ensure full payments are collected according to terms and conditions Flag any delayed or outstanding payments to the Reservations Manager Miscellaneous Maintain a professional and positive attitude in all dealings with clients Liaise with the operations team regarding ongoing guest requirements Pass on sales leads to the Sales Department for potential business development Communicate special requests or potential problems to the Reception Manager Assist with special projects or related tasks as required by the Reservations Manager or Sales and Marketing teams Requirements: Proven experience as a Reservations Consultant within a luxury hospitality environment Strong knowledge of reservations systems (PMS and third-party platforms) Excellent administrative and organisational skills with strong attention to detail Financial acumen in handling rates, invoicing, and payments In-depth knowledge of luxury hospitality operations and guest expectations Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
