About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Security Manager to lead anti poaching and reserve security operations from the front within a prestigious private reserve in Limpopo. This live-in position requires a strong, hands-on operator who can take full responsibility for reserve security, intelligence networks, and rapid response teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead anti poaching units, K9 teams, and patrol deployments
- Oversee control room, surveillance systems, and perimeter monitoring
- Ensure compliance with Firearms legislation, PSIRA, and environmental laws
- Manage firearms, equipment, vehicles, and K9 readiness
- Conduct audits, reporting, and incident investigations
- Liaise with SAPS, neighbouring reserves, and conservation authorities
- Lead, train, and manage security and ranger teams
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in conservation or security operations, ideally in a Big Five reserve
- Relevant qualification in Security Management, Conservation, or similar
- PSIRA registered
- Firearm Competency and valid firearm licence
- First Aid Level 1
- Valid drivers licence
- Strong knowledge of Firearms Control Act, NEMBA, and related legislation
