About the Role
A prestigious luxury private island in Madagascar is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef at a senior level to join their culinary team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and creative chef to work in a unique, high-end environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and ensuring consistent quality across all dishes
- Prepare and present meals to the highest luxury standards, including la carte, banquet, and bespoke menus
- Supervise; mentor, and train junior kitchen staff to maintain excellence and efficiency
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with hygiene, safety, and health regulations
- Contribute to menu development, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
- Maintain kitchen inventory, control costs, and monitor stock levels
- Collaborate with the management team to deliver exceptional guest dining experiences
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury hospitality setting
Strong culinary skills with creativity and attention to detail
Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication abilities
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
Flexible and adaptable to live-in island conditions
