Technical Draughtsman/Steel Detailer required

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Tekla Steel Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate, detailed drawings and models for steel structures using Tekla software. The role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed steel fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures software.
• Produce 3D models for steel structures, including beams, columns, and connections.
• Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and fabricators to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Assist in managing project timelines and ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Tekla Steel Detailer.
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures software.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel detailing and fabrication.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Produces detailed drawings for steel fabricators and steel erectors
• Prepares detailed plans, drawings and other documents for the manufacture and erection of steel members (columns, beams, braces, trusses, stairs, handrails, joists, metal decking

Requirements:

• Matric
• Software for steel detailing used is Tekla CAD software
• 5 years experience as a Detailer and using Tekla Software
• Must have experience in the steel industry
• Portfolio of work/drawings to be presented at interview
• At the interview a test will be conducted onsite on a laptop
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail
