About the Role
Takora Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Intermediate Electrical Engineer/Technologist to join our team in Cape Town. We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in electrical engineering and consulting services to contribute to our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop building services electrical systems, including lighting, power, and distribution boards (DBs)
- Work with AutoCAD & Revit draughting software to create detailed designs and models
- Conduct site visits and meetings to assess client needs and provide technical expertise
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Develop and maintain knowledge of Relux or Dialux software for lighting design
- Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of 11kV and 400V reticulation systems
- Work on Generator and UPS systems, including design, testing, and commissioning
- Provide technical support for Solar PV systems, mainly for building-mounted installations
Requirements
- Bachelor of Technology Degree or Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist
- At least 5 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry
- Proficient use of AutoCAD & Revit draughting software
- Knowledge of Relux or Dialux software for lighting designs
- Experience in Building services electrical design, including lighting, power, and DBs
- Experience in 11kV and 400V reticulation
- Experience in Generator and UPS systems
- Knowledge of Solar PV systems mainly for building-mounted installations
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Technology Degree or Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering (required)
