About the Role

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and professional Service Supervisor to join a luxury lodge in the Kruger National Park. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a strong guest service focus, leadership skills, and operational knowledge of food and beverage service in a high-end environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistency in services and products offered to guests
  • Monitor staff and patron activities to ensure compliance with liquor regulations
  • Perform and supervise beverage preparation and service tasks, including presentation, sales, and training
  • Assist in developing and implementing specialty drinks for welcome, morning, and evening services
  • Promote optimal communication between the kitchen and service teams, including daily briefings and pass management
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints professionally
  • Manage stock control, inventory, and equipment maintenance for service areas
  • Estimate consumption, schedule orders, and verify delivery contents for quality and quantity
  • Maintain par levels for crockery, cutlery, glassware, and beverage/service equipment
  • Review beverage menus, analyze recipes, and assign prices to menu items
  • Ensure effective POS operation, monitoring reports to identify popular and profitable items
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and services such as refrigeration and ice machines

Requirements & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of luxury F&B customer service standards
  • Comprehensive understanding of local, regional, and international wines and beverages
  • Knowledge of food preparation, product quality, and cooking methods
  • Understanding of stock procedures, inventory control, and departmental administration
  • Familiarity with hygiene standards, cleaning products, and equipment operation
  • Ability to plan, budget, and manage departmental tasks efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, emotional control, and team leadership abilities
  • Proactive, adaptable, and able to work accurately under pressure
