Job Summary
Established packaging company based in Cape Town`s southern suburbs requires a qualified Millwright or Fitter with strong hydraulics experience.Monthly Remuneration:* R40 000 – R50 000 basic depending on experience +benefitsRequired:* Matric / N3 minimum * Trade tested Millwright (mechanically inclined) or Fitter (some electrical skills)* Advanced hydraulics and pneumatics experience* Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in a production environment * Experience in the FMCG / packaging / plastics industry advantageous * Strong communication skills* Able to run a maintenance program with continuous improvements* Ability to do minor electronic fault finding
Duties:
* Conducting and coordinating all maintenance on machinery and equipment * Completing maintenance schedules and programs for each machine as per supplier recommendation* Building an inventory of spares for the machines and controlling spares usage and costs* Properly maintaining maintenance records as per ISO Quality System* Identification and achievement of measurable technical and process developments and improvements* Attending to breakdowns* Ordering of necessary equipment and tools for the factory * Attending relevant meetings i.e. DRMs, Production Meetings etc. * Assisting production in achieving optimum efficiencies* Fault identification, fixing of root cause and ensuring the accurate completion of production logs and job cards* Ensuring a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures* Being available for call outs after hoursContact Scott on McKessar Recruitment
