Are you a skilled Draughtsman with 45+ years of hands-on experience using Autodesk software, including AutoCAD and Revit at an advanced level?

Our client is seeking a technically strong, well-versed Draughtsman to join a growing team in Stellenbosch, working on complex and intelligent 3D modelling projects. This is a great opportunity to work on infrastructure and built environment projects in a fast-paced, professional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, and other Autodesk tools for civil and structural projects in the WEC environment.

• Create and manage 3D models and intelligent BIM models in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

• Collaborate with engineers and design teams to develop accurate and efficient drawing sets, layouts, and schematics.

• Ensure drawings comply with national codes, safety standards, and client specifications.

• Maintain and update drawing registers, technical libraries, and model versions throughout the project lifecycle.

• Assist in performing clash detection, design coordination, and resolving layout conflicts in 3D environments.

• Apply Civil3D, Infraworks, Advanced Steel, and other Autodesk packages for infrastructure detailing (advantageous).

• Support project delivery timelines by working efficiently under pressure while maintaining high quality and accuracy.

• Attend design coordination meetings when required and provide input on constructability or technical detailing.

• Implement quality control checks and verify dimensions, tolerances, and calculations in all drawings produced.

Requirements:

• Relevant supporting qualification or certification in draughting

• Minimum 45 years relevant experience in a draughting role

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (essential)

• Exposure to Civil3D, Infraworks, Advanced Steel, Robot, etc. (advantageous)

• Solid experience in 3D Modelling and BIM (Building Information Modelling)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings

• Ability to understand or speak Afrikaans is a plus (not compulsory)
