Job Summary
Duties:
Ensuring all areas of the house are clean and maintained according to set standards. Managing and supervising staff: this includes recruiting, training, and scheduling staff, as well as addressing any performance issues. Managing and ordering cleaning supplies, linens, and other household items. Assist with developing budget, forecasting expenses, and ensuring cost efficiency. Implementing and enforcing protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Addressing guest requests and concerns and coordinating with other departments as needed. Assisting with maintenance that can include lawn care, gardening, and other exterior maintenance tasks. Changing light bulbs, repairing minor fixtures, or checking security systems. Ensuring compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
Grade 12 A formal qualification At least 2 3 years in a housekeeping / houseman role at a 5 property

Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate all houseman duties including room setup, public area maintenance, linen distribution, and guest request fulfilment. Lead, train, and supervise a small team of housemen, ensuring efficiency, professionalism, and adherence to 5-star standards. Work closely with the Housekeeping Manager and Room Attendants to ensure smooth daily operations. Ensure all back-of-house areas are clean, organized, and operating efficiently. Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, meetings, and VIP room arrangements. Maintain housekeeping equipment and report maintenance issues promptly. Support guest services discreetly and effectively, delivering a seamless experience.
Requirements:
Minimum 23 years of experience in a housekeeping or hotel operations role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader position. Experience in a 4 or 5-star hotel environment essential. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Hands-on, proactive, and service-oriented approach. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Excellent communication skills and a professional appearance. Physical stamina and attention to detail. Be part of a team that takes pride in creating flawless experiences for every guest.
