About the Role
A well-established engineering and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Draughtsperson to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting, project coordination, and client-facing experience, with a focus on steel structures, machinery, and conveyor systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate technical drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD (and SolidWorks where applicable) for conveyor systems, machinery, and steel structures
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of materials (BOMs), and support efficient project planning and execution
- Manage and coordinate multiple engineering projects to ensure delivery within agreed timelines and budgets
- Liaise directly with clients, presenting designs, managing expectations, and maintaining professional communication
- Ensure all designs and deliverables meet required industry standards and internal quality benchmarks
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 35 years experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- AutoCAD proficiency (required)
- SolidWorks experience (preferred)
