About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Controller to join our team in Stellenbosch. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our wine production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Calibration of Equipment: Ensure all instruments are validated before use.
- Perform routine equipment calibration within the validity period, as per ISO calibration schedule.
- Maintain completeness and accuracy of QC packs.
- Keep QC records up to date.
- Conduct packaging analysis on dry goods materials.
- Product Non-Conformance Monitoring: Inform all relevant parties immediately when product defects occur.
- Investigate complaints and internal non-conformances and report findings.
- Quality Management Systems: Participate in reviewing quality control procedures and processes.
- Sign QC packs as records for the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Assist and ensure availability during audits.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.
- Quality Assurance Certificate or Diploma.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Quality Controller in the wine production industry.
- Previous laboratory experience will be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Accurate record-keeping ability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Logical thinker.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
