Strand: Senior Building Foreman/Site Agent

Requirements: N6 Diploma in Building / Construction Minimum of 10 years experience within the construction industry Valid drivers licence Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with contractors, clients, architects, and engineers Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings Strong budgeting and financial management skills to ensure projects remain profitable and within client budgets Proven experience in managing subcontractors, labour teams, and site logistics Ability to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve challenges that arise during the construction process Duties will include, but not limited to: Managing and supervising site labour, subcontractors, and plant Ensuring the accurate and timely progress of construction work as directed by the Site Agent Coordinating and managing daily site operations Managing and controlling site tools, materials, and equipment Conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations Monitoring construction quality standards and ensuring work is completed to specification Checking, compiling, and preparing site progress reports and documentation Supporting the preparation and coordination of site drawings, reports, and project documentation Ensuring the commercial performance of the contract is optimized Overseeing project budgets to ensure construction activities remain financially viable Working closely with architects and engineers to identify requirements such as utility connections and technical specifications Establishing and enforcing site standards, procedures, and safety protocols Accompanying clients during site visits, providing progress updates and addressing project-related queries Ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality standards and without defects Maintaining awareness of industry developments, regulations, and best practices Only candidates residing within the Western Cape area will be considered for this position In return a highly competitive salary is on offer
