About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Foreman/Site Agent to join our team at Helderberg Personnel. As a key member of our construction division, you will be responsible for managing and supervising site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. If you have a strong background in building construction and excellent leadership skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and supervising site labour, subcontractors, and plant
- Ensuring the accurate and timely progress of construction work as directed by the Site Agent
- Coordinating and managing daily site operations
- Managing and controlling site tools, materials, and equipment
- Conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations
- Monitoring construction quality standards and ensuring work is completed to specification
- Checking, compiling, and preparing site progress reports and documentation
- Supporting the preparation and coordination of site drawings, reports, and project documentation
- Ensuring the commercial performance of the contract is optimized
- Overseeing project budgets to ensure construction activities remain financially viable
- Working closely with architects and engineers to identify requirements such as utility connections and technical specifications
- Establishing and enforcing site standards, procedures, and safety protocols
- Accompanying clients during site visits, providing progress updates and addressing project-related queries
- Ensuring projects are delivered to the required quality standards and without defects
- Maintaining awareness of industry developments, regulations, and best practices
Requirements
- N6 Diploma in Building / Construction
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the construction industry
- Valid driver’s licence
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with contractors, clients, architects, and engineers
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.)
