About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Boiler and Kiln Superintendent to join our team at Profile Personnel, based in Stutterheim, Eastern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Boiler & Kiln department, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Running the daily activities of the Boiler & Kiln operations
- Ensure compliance of all plant, machinery and auxiliary equipment to relevant statutory health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations. As well as Company policies & procedures.
- Control of spare part inventories, and critical spares.
- Monitor and control costs.
- Manage training and development of departmental employees.
- Ensuring and improving the performance, productivity & efficiency.
- Managing all staff in accordance with labour laws and company policies
- Ensuring a high-level housekeeping standard in the department
Requirements
- Matric / NTC 3
- Relevant technical experience and ability with tools and mechanical workings, if not trade tested
- Strong experience in the operations of Boilers
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a boiler operations environment
- Willing to work irregular hours and perform standby duties
- Willing to work overtime, incl. weekends
- Experience in a sawmilling environment will be preferred
