Job Summary
-
Maintain and continuously improve our ISO 45001 Health & Safety document management system.
-
Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
-
Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and internal audits.
-
Coordinate and facilitate safety training for staff at all levels.
-
Manage PPE requirements and ensure correct usage across the facility.
-
Monitor and report on health and safety performance to senior management.
-
Develop and update H&S policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
-
Drive a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation.
-
Liaise with external auditors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
-
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Strong leadership and communication skills.
-
Ability to influence and drive change in safety culture.
-
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
-
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
-
SAIOSH registration (essential).
-
Proven experience in a processing or production-based environment (non-negotiable).
-
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ISO 45001 systems.
-
Excellent understanding of South African occupational health and safety legislation.
-
Strong document control, organisational, and auditing skills.
-
SACPCMP registration (advantageous but not essential).
-
Proficiency in MS Office and health & safety management systems.
