Location: Swellendam, Western Cape Salary: R15 000 Available Positions: SAIPA & SAICA Clerks Start Date: As soon as possible Key Responsibilities Accounting & Bookkeeping Process financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records. Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts. Reconcile bank statements, debtors, and creditors. Assist in drafting annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS or relevant frameworks. Auditing (SAICA) Participate in audit engagements, including planning, execution, and completion phases. Perform substantive testing and analytical reviews in line with audit methodology. Prepare working papers with appropriate documentation and evidence. Taxation Assist with completion and submission of income tax, VAT, and other statutory returns. Ensure compliance with SARS deadlines and requirements. Maintain accurate and updated tax records for clients. Client Service & Communication Liaise with clients to obtain required information and clarify queries. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues. Training & Development Attend internal and external training sessions as required by SAIPA or SAICA. Stay updated on relevant legislation, accounting standards, and tax laws. Minimum Requirements SAIPA Clerk Completed or final-year BCom Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or equivalent degree accredited by SAIPA. Strong understanding of accounting principles and relevant legislation. SAICA Clerk Completed or final-year BCom Accounting (CA-stream) or equivalent degree accredited by SAICA. Completed CTA/PGDA or in the process of completion (advantageous or required depending on the firm). For Both: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Sage, CaseWare beneficial). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Voer substantiewe toetse en analitiese hersienings uit volgens ouditmetodologie. Berei werkdokumente met toepaslike dokumentasie en bewys voor. Belasting Help met die voltooiing en indiening van inkomstebelasting, BTW en ander statutêre opgawes. Verseker nakoming van SARS se sperdatums en vereistes. Handhaaf akkurate en bygewerkte belastingrekords vir kliënte. Kliëntediens & Kommunikasie Skakel met kliënte om vereiste inligting te bekom en navrae te verduidelik. Bou en handhaaf professionele verhoudings met kliënte en kollegas. Opleiding & Ontwikkeling Woon interne en eksterne opleidingsessies by soos vereis deur SAIPA of SAICA. Bly op hoogte van relevante wetgewing, rekeningkundige standaarde en belastingwette. Minimum Vereistes SAIPA Klerk Voltooide of finalejaar BCom Rekeningkunde, BCom Finansiële Rekeningkunde of gelykwaardige graad wat deur SAIPA geakkrediteer is. Sterk begrip van rekeningkundige beginsels en relevante wetgewing. SAICA Klerk Voltooide of finalejaar BCom Rekeningkunde (CA-stroom) of gelykwaardige graad wat deur SAICA geakkrediteer is. CTA/PGDA voltooi of in proses van voltooiing (n voordeel of vereiste afhangend van die firma). Vir Beide: Vaardigheid in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) en rekeningkundige sagteware (bv.
