Job Summary

- Matric (Essential)
- Degree /Diploma in Food Science/Technology
- Minimum 2 years in new product development (NPD)
- Project management experience: Including critical path and NPD stage gate management
- Previous experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
- Proficiency in Project Management software and tools
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Drive product development:
- From concept to commercialization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Ensure products meet market demands and align with company goals.
- Analyze market trends: Identify opportunities for new products.
- Generate product ideas: Develop innovative concepts.
- Create development plans: Outline steps to bring products to market.
- Oversee execution: Ensure plans are implemented on time and within budget.
Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct market research: Identify trends, customer needs, and competitors.
- Analyze data: Generate insights for product development.
- Understand the target market: Know customer preferences.
- Research food trends: Stay informed about ingredients, technologies, and advancements in food science
Product Planning and Strategies
- Develop product plans: Outline timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Define product specifications: Determine features and performance criteria.
- Align with company goals: Ensure product development aligns with strategic objectives.
- Maintain records: Document formulations, testing, and process changes.
- Prepare reports: Create detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders
Product Development and Testing
- Oversee prototype development: Ensure they meet design specifications and standards.
- Manage product testing: Gather feedback through user testing and make adjustments.
- Ensure compliance: Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Develop new products: Design, test, and refine food products, recipes, and formulations.
- Optimize production processes: Enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality.
