Job Description
Hire Resolve’s client in Umhlanga, is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Compliance Legal Counsel to join their team. As a Senior Compliance Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance on compliance matters to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Your key responsibilities will include conducting compliance risk assessments, developing and implementing compliance programs, and leading compliance training initiatives. You will also collaborate with business units to identify and address potential compliance issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
We are looking for an individual with a strong background in compliance and a deep understanding of legal and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a diverse team. - LLB degree from an accredited law school
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Compliance Legal Counsel in the financial services industry
- Deep knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Experience in conducting compliance risk assessments
- Proven track record of implementing compliance programs and leading training initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Admission as an attorney
- Salary: Negotiable
