About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Chef de Partie to join our team at a unique Private Estate in Franschhoek, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head Private Chef with daily prep for up to 12 guests, delivering exceptional culinary experiences that meet the high expectations of our ultra-high net worth guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Private Chef with daily prep for a maximum of 12 guests
  • Design and prepare lunch and dinner menus, including starters, mains, and desserts
  • Produce high-quality hot, cold, and pastry dishes to exacting standards
  • Create visually appealing plated components with attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve results
  • Maintain a positive and confident attitude in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • Formal training in culinary arts
  • At least 3 – 4 years of working experience within Wine Estate Restaurants, Boutique Luxury Hotels or Lodges
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Proficient in the production of hot, cold, and pastry dishes
  • Ability to design daily dishes/specials for lunch and dinner

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certification in culinary arts (e.g. Baking & Pastry Arts)
