About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Chef de Partie to join our team at HotelJobs’ Franschhoek Private Estate. As part of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Private Chef in preparing daily meals for up to 12 guests, who expect exceptional cuisine that rivals their international dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Private Chef with daily prep work for a maximum of 12 guests
- Design and prepare lunch and dinner menus, including starters, mains, and desserts
- Produce high-quality hot, cold, and pastry dishes to meet guest expectations
- Create visually appealing plating components with attention to detail
- Work collaboratively as part of the team to achieve results
Requirements
- Formal training in chefery with at least 3 – 4 years of working experience within Wine Estate Restaurants, Boutique Luxury Hotels or Lodges
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Proficient in the production of hot, cold, and pastry dishes
- Ability to design daily dishes/specials for lunch and dinner
Qualifications
- Formal education/certification in chefery (e.g. culinary arts diploma)
