Were seeking a charismatic Head Guide to deliver elevated safari experiences and warm, personalised hosting for international guests. With a structured, sevennight stay model and a 2026 relaunch, this role offers predictable operations, refined lodge standards, and room to lead, mentor and innovate. If youre a confident storyteller with a good sense of humour, a genuine love of nature, and the professionalism to thrive in a remote setting, wed love to meet you. Job Requirements South African citizen or valid work authorisation; clear criminal record (checks & polygraph). Fluent in Afrikaans; Dutch or Flemish (nonnegotiable). FGASA Field Guide (Level 2 preferred); CATHSSETA; NDT registration. Valid Drivers Licence, PDP ; and First Aid. Minimum 5 years guiding in a Big 5 reserve; strong Waterberg knowledge advantageous. FGASA Full Trails, SAPS rifle competency (Business Purposes); own rifle advantageous. Proven ability to conduct highquality Big 5 game drives in Welgevonden; ethical wildlife viewing. Confident hosting: dinners, storytelling, stargazing, kids tracking, bush talks; upsell activities. Leadership: mentor junior guides; stand in for Farm Manager when needed. Maintenance and basic mechanical skills (strongly preferred). Own transport or a clear transport plan for 30km rugged gravel road. Comfortable with rural, onsite living and remote safari operations within hospitality standards. Access to Zoom/Teams; willing to complete assessments during hiring. Package Market Related Gratuities: guides keep direct individual tips (not in shared pool). Accommodation: private bedroom (senior staff), own bathroom & kitchenette; utilities included. Meals: lunch & dinner during duty periods. Uniform provided (excl. footwear); selfservice laundry. Work cycle: 6 days off/month; 15 days annual leave . Remote; single accommodation (no dependents/pets); rugged access road. Start Date: To be confirmed (aligned to the 2026 reopening timeline).
