Job Summary

The Head of Electricity Sales will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing new business, and managing key client relationships within the electricity sector. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background and a proven track record in sales within the energy or engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the electricity division aligned with the company’s business objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the electricity sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across municipal, commercial, and industrial markets
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
  • Collaborate with the technical and project delivery teams to develop compelling, client-focused proposals and tender submissions
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through to contract award and handover
  • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports, forecasts, and pipeline reviews to executive leadership
  • Represent the company at industry events, forums, and conferences

 Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or any other related qualifications
  • 10+ years’ experience in technical or engineering sales, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership capacity
  • Solid understanding of electricity infrastructure, grid solutions, or energy services
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment
  • Experience working with municipalities, utilities, or government entities advantageous
  • Strong commercial acumen and tender/proposal experience
  • Valid South African driver’s licence
