Job Summary
Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is on the lookout for a Head Office Accountant to join their team and play a pivotal role in managing their financial operations. This is a permanent position offering an incredible opportunity for growth and development in an industry that’s constantly evolving. If you’re ready to take the reins in a dynamic financial role at the head office of an innovative company, this opportunity in Cape Town Central is for you!
Duties:
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with IFRS and company standards. You’ll provide valuable insights into the financial health of the business and help drive strategic decisions.
- Lead the month-end and year-end financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- You’ll be responsible for reconciling accounts and identifying discrepancies to maintain the integrity of the financial statements.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and monitor budgets.
- You’ll also help track actual performance against forecasts, providing commentary on variances and offering solutions for optimisation.

Qualifications:
- A newly qualified Chartered Accountant.
Experience:
- Experience in auditing within the automotive or retail industries: This is a pivotal requirement as the role requires an understanding of the nuances and challenges specific to these sectors.
