About the Role
Elchemie is seeking a skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team in the Western Cape. As an integral part of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for managing the full HR function across recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exit processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full HR function across recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and exit processes
- Handle employee relations, disciplinary matters, and grievance procedures in line with labour legislation
- Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, EE, and other relevant employment laws and regulations
- Oversee payroll input, leave administration, and employee record management
- Support line managers with HR policies, coaching, and best practice guidance
- Drive HR initiatives such as wellness, engagement, and training interventions
- Prepare HR reports, maintain HR systems, and contribute to audits and compliance checks
- Assist with Employment Equity submissions and Workplace Skills Plans
Requirements
- 2 – 4+ years’ proven HR generalist experience, ideally within services, security, or facilities industries
- Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR practices
- Relevant HR qualification (Diploma or Degree preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English (Afrikaans or other African languages advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (required for business travel)
- Clear criminal record
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and conflict management skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders
- High attention to detail and a solutions-focused mindset

- Gr 12 Certificate
Salary & Benefits
Competitive package: R240 000 – R300 000 CTC per annum
