About the Role
As a Production Manager at Persona Staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production of projects from concept to completion within workshop and site environments. You will plan, schedule, and coordinate production workflows, resources, and labor to ensure on-time project delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end production of projects from concept to completion within workshop and site environments.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate production workflows, resources, and labor to ensure on-time project delivery.
- Oversee workshop operations including carpentry, steel fabrication, spray, finishing, assembly, and installation preparation.
- Coordinate between design, technical drawings, procurement, production, and installation teams.
- Translate client briefs and technical drawings into accurate, buildable production outputs.
- Oversee manufacturing of joinery, shopfitting elements, fixtures, and bespoke builds.
- Monitor production progress, manage deadlines, and implement corrective action where delays occur.
- Ensure efficient use of labor, machinery, workshop capacity, and resources.
- Implement and maintain quality control and assurance standards across all production stages.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and client specifications.
- Reduce waste, inefficiencies, and rework through continuous improvement.
- Manage packing, labelling, dispatch, transport coordination, and installation readiness.
- Support on-site installation logistics and problem-solving when required.
- Manage supplier relationships, material requirements, stock control, and lead times.
- Support procurement and cost control initiatives to improve margins and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in workshop and site environments.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workshop facility and oversee equipment maintenance.
- Optimize workshop layout, systems, and production processes for improved efficiency.
- Supervise and manage workshop teams, including carpenters, fabricators, installers, and subcontractors.
- Manage performance, attendance, discipline, and productivity of staff.
- Mentor and develop production teams and drive a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Support implementation of production systems and digital/process improvements.
- Prepare production reports, schedules, and progress updates for senior management.
- Maintain accurate production records, job tracking, and documentation.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Manager in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of workshop operations, production planning, and manufacturing processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production/project management systems
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to sites when required
- Relevant qualification in Production/Operations/Engineering/Construction (advantageous)
