About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Refrigerator Technician to join our team at Objective Personnel in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a key member of our refrigerated container maintenance and repair team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our Reefer Lease fleet. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintenance and repairs of refrigerated containers.
- Attend to on-site servicing of Reefer Lease fleet.
- Attend to reefer-related callouts and breakdowns on-site.
- Liaising with customers on-site and ensuring job cards are filled out and signed.
- Responsible for estimating for repairs to reefers when procured and off-hired.
- Carry out necessary repairs to reefers and make operational.
- Attend to commissioning of units on-site.
- Responsible for management of spares in stock and accounting for once removed.
- Notifying line manager for any stock required.
- Packaging of reefer spares New/second-hand for local and international orders.
- Housekeeping of Reefer Workshop area.
- Assist CWD Workshop as needed (when available – must be cleared with Line Manager first).
- Inspecting of reefer at depots prior to procurement with/for Line Manager.
- Overtime/after-hours call-outs will be required (vehicle will be provided).
- Accountable for all Workshop Tools.
- Refurbishment of Reefer component items, including, but not limited to, semi-hermetic compressors, fan motors, coils, etc.
