• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems in the hotel.
• Ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Maintenance

• Install, commission, and maintain HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units, VRF systems, and ductwork.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous operation of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems and components.

Quality & Standards

• Ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely at all times.
• Test and monitor system performance and optimize energy usage.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines, including proper PPE usage.
• Ensure safe handling of refrigerants, chemicals, and electrical components in compliance with environmental regulations.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor and guide junior HVAC technicians and workshop staff.
• Coordinate with the engineering and maintenance team to support hotel operations.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize disruption to hotel services.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• Trade or technical qualification in HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Certification in handling refrigerants and HVAC systems is advantageous.
• Proven experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems.

Preferred Skills

• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior technicians.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC systems, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably in hotels or large commercial facilities.
