Job Description
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems in the hotel.
- Ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Installation & Maintenance
- Install, commission, and maintain HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units, VRF systems, and ductwork.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous operation of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems and components.
Quality & Standards
- Ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and safely at all times.
- Test and monitor system performance and optimize energy usage.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to occupational health and safety guidelines, including proper PPE usage.
- Ensure safe handling of refrigerants, chemicals, and electrical components in compliance with environmental regulations.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor and guide junior HVAC technicians and workshop staff.
- Coordinate with the engineering and maintenance team to support hotel operations.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns promptly to minimize disruption to hotel services.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Trade or technical qualification in HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Certification in handling refrigerants and HVAC systems is advantageous.
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems.
Preferred Skills
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior technicians.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC systems, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role, preferably in hotels or large commercial facilities.
