About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Strategic New Business Executive to join our team in the Western Cape region. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business acquisition and maintaining a strong pipeline aligned with regional growth. Your exceptional skills and experience in the Courier industry will enable you to build and maintain senior-level client relationships, identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities, and contribute to regional sales strategy and marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with regional growth
- Build and maintain senior-level client relationships to ensure long-term, profitable partnerships.
- Liaise closely & build strategic relationships with clients & their stakeholders
- Conduct Power Point Presentations at Board room level.
- Lead full sales cycle—from lead generation to contract negotiation and account onboarding.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver service excellence and meet SLA commitments.
- Respond to all client related matters, from contractual agreements, solution implementation & service performance
- Rate negotiations and implementation
- Contribute to regional sales strategy and marketing initiatives to boost brand visibility.
- Attend industry events to expand network, gather market insights, and generate leads.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records for pipeline and performance tracking.
- Manage & grow existing accounts to deliver results according to financial performance indicators
- Identify client requirements & propose internal capabilities & resources to meet client’s needs
- Participate in end-to-end request for quotation process
- Manage client info within the company & drive operational excellence
- Working together as an integrated team to accomplish combined department objectives
Requirements
- 5 – 10 years experience in the Courier industry
- Matric
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
