Job Summary
REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- Qualified Boilermaker Trade Test Certificate
- 5+ Years after trade experience
- Fabrication experience required
DUTIES
- Complete all Fabrication Request feedback paperwork and major job requirements.
- Compile SOW and Bill of Materials
- Complete all TSIS and H&S paperwork.
- Ensure all parts comply with procurement register and data pack – report any deviations.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment is available to execute task and plan a working procedure for the tasks
- Material cutting – Proper use of bandsaw, cut-off saw, cutting torch, grinder, etc.
- Mig welding: for general structures, barriers, base frames, etc.
- Tig welding: for FDB baskets, soaking pipes, manifolds, tanks, etc.
- Arc welding: for onsite welding, area that bigger machine cannot access.
- Proper use of hand drill, magbase drill, machining machine, etc.
- Finishing/Grinding – remove all shape edgers, burs, welding spatter, etc. (Prep for next phase)
