The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely collections, minimizing bad debt, and contributing to the smooth running of the finance team. Job Experience & Skills Required: Must have a Credit Management Certificate level 3, 4 or 5 or a Diploma/BCom in Finance/Accounting, or related. Proven experience in a debtors management role, ideally within the distribution or retail sector. Strong understanding of debt collection, credit control, and account management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues. Experience on SAP is an advantage. Key

Responsibilities:

Manage the debtors book and ensure that outstanding debts are collected on time. Monitor overdue accounts and take the necessary actions to recover funds. Develop and implement strategies to reduce bad debt and improve debtor days. Collaborate with the sales team to address customer disputes and ensure smooth collections. Prepare and deliver regular reports on the status of debtors, highlighting potential risks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and procedures. Assist with cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
