Job Summary

Hire Resolve`s Client are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Solutions Architect to join their dynamic team within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing complex IT solutions tailored to the needs of the business, ensuring that technology and business requirements are seamlessly integrated. The Solutions Architect will collaborate with various stakeholders, including business leaders, developers, and IT professionals, to deliver scalable, cost-effective, and secure solutions that align with the organizations strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architectural design of technology solutions that meet the business needs within the banking sector.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, analyze the current system architecture, and identify improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions, ensuring that all systems align with banking industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Design end-to-end systems architecture, including infrastructure, data models, security, and integration.
  • Oversee the implementation of architectural designs, collaborating with technical teams to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in the delivery of solutions.
  • Conduct thorough technical evaluations, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analysis of proposed solutions.
  • Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and comply with banking regulations and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
  • Work with the IT governance team to ensure that solutions meet the organization`s compliance and security standards.
  • Continuously assess emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that the organization stays ahead of the competition.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of effective solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical documentation and reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support change management processes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations during the implementation of new solutions.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Minimum Education: A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g., BSc, BEng, or equivalent).
  • Professional Certifications (Desirable): TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or other relevant architecture or cloud certifications.
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in a Solutions Architect role or a similar position within the banking or financial services industry.
    • Strong experience with banking technologies, systems integration, and enterprise architecture.
    • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting complex IT solutions across various platforms (cloud and on-premise).
    • Deep understanding of banking regulations, compliance requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR), and data privacy laws.
    • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
    • Expertise in enterprise integration, data modeling, and middleware technologies.
    • Knowledge of security architecture, data protection, and risk management in a banking environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficient in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, or similar).
    • Experience with API design and management.
    • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, networking, and virtualization technologies.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline management.
    • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
