Job Summary
? Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct process studies and develop design modifications to optimize operations.
- Develop, review, and validate plant mass balances to ensure peak performance.
- Identify optimization opportunities and implement solutions accordingly.
- Utilize HYSYS and Promax for process simulation and modeling.
- Provide technical direction and support to both in-Kingdom and out-of-Kingdom design contractors.
- Formulate and implement long-term strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Apply expertise in metering systems and process safety-related activities such as HAZOP and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (API, ISO, ASME, etc.).
- Interpret and implement relevant engineering codes and standards.
- Oversee construction progress, ensure compliance with engineering requirements, and recommend design changes as needed.
- Lead groups of engineers during shutdown and start-up phases of existing plants.
- Support other engineering disciplines in problem-solving and process development.
- Participate in the development of engineering, material, and equipment specifications.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (Advanced degrees preferred).
- Experience: 10-15 years in refining, oil & gas, or petrochemical industries.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of API, ISO, ASME industry standards.
- Experience in process simulation, metering systems, and process safety.
- Proficiency in HYSYS and Promax.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Leadership experience in plant shutdown and start-up.
- Cost estimation and engineering design expertise.
