About the Role
Hire Resolve’s client in the food and beverage industry is urgently seeking a Buyer to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase food and beverage products for clients in the industry
- Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay updated on industry trends
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues that arise
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of products
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize purchasing decisions
- Analyze supplier performance and make recommendations for improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Buyer in the Food and Beverage Industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage products and market trends
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
