Job Summary

Qualification & RequirementsMatric/NQF Level 4 Degree/ Diploma qualification in Business Administration is required A minimum of 5 years Debt collections experience on a team leader or supervisory level. (Ideally with Municipal / Government debt)Proven experience as a Collections Team Leader or Supervisor Strong knowledge of Debt Collect Act, National Credit Act, and POPIA. Experience with Debt Collection Software: Excalibur / Practice Team Leader/ Debtcol Pro Web (Non -Negotiable) Required Skills Excellent leadership and team management skillsOutstanding communication and negotiation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detailResponsibilitiesManaging a Team of Debt Collection AgentsEngage in effective negotiation to secure payment arrangements or settlementsEnsure that the department is compliant with relevant laws and regulations governing debt collection practicesPrepare and submit regular comprehensive reports on collection activitiesProvide updates on progress and outcomes to the director and office operations manager Hold regular meetings on feedback, and ensure that the meetings are documented Address and resolve issues or disputes raised by the collectors regarding difficult debtors Initiate legal. proceedings, if required, to recover debtEnsure the confidentiality of debtor information in compliance with privacy lawsAchieve set collection targets
