Job Summary
Hire Resolve’s Client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day financial activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about finance and eager to learn and grow within a dynamic organisation.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Process and review invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to management
- Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Provide financial support to other departments and team members
- Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite
- Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- CPA or similar certification is a plus
Benefits
- Salary: R132K/yr – R90K/yr, negotiable
