Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, and predictive modelling.
• Associate level MS Certifications
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL.
• Experience working with large datasets and data manipulation tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) will be beneficial.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platform Azure.
• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Grafana).

A client growing rapidly with international ambitions developing multiple valuable products in the areas of supplier risk, customer risk, and third-party risk management are on a recruitment drive for a Data Scientist to lead end-to-end model development and deployment, and drive the modelling and integration processes. You will work under the supervision of the hiring manager, with limited external consultant support, and be accountable for delivering production-ready data science solutions that align with business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead modelling lifecycle from problem framing to post-deployment monitoring.
• Manage and mentor two junior data scientists.
• Collaborate with external consultants when necessary.
• Train, deploy, and track statistical and machine learning models.
• Deliver practical insights and models aligned with long-term business goals.
• Drive automation and integration of models within business systems.
• Maintain high standards in code, documentation, and reproducibility.
• Data cleaning and pre-processing (Size, data distribution, imputation, removing outliers, etc)
• Ability to do feature engineering towards specific predictable targets (Not just including raw data)
• Experience in correctly applying model performance approaches in the context of the training approaches taken (Classification Models, Confusion Metrix, etc)

Qualifications & Experience:

• A degree in either engineering, data science, statistics, computer science, or any other quantitative field
• 3 years’ experience in a Data Science role
• Advanced ML in fintech
• Natural Language Processing
• Financial Modelling / VaR Models
• Advanced statistical/machine learning with applications in the financial technology sector.
• Natural language processing.
• Demonstrated ability to implement dimensional modelling methods (SCD, Fact Tables, Schemas, etc)
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and data principles. Project management experience
