Cape Town City Centre: Junior R&D Engineer

Job Description: Assist senior engineers in conducting research on new materials, technologies Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the development of innovative concepts for building systems, products, and services Conduct laboratory experiments Assist in the design and fabrication of prototypes for new building technologies. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in building technology Collaborate effectively with other engineers, researchers, and technicians within the R&D team Skills & Experience: Strong interest in building technology and a passion for innovation Basic to intermediate understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methods Proven expertise (e.g. postgraduate research) with research methodologies and data analysis techniques Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., CAD software, simulation tools) Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green building certifications is advantageous Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills Qualification: BEng Civil & Structural Engineering and Masters in Structural Engineering Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered Contact MALIEKA DAWOOD on
