As an Electrical Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, execution, and completion of electrical engineering projects. This role requires technical expertise, strong project management skills, and effective communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage electrical engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal departments.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Manage project documentation and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in electrical project engineering or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other electrical design software.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

National diploma, BTech in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of experience.
Experience designing low voltage (less than 1000V; 1ph and 3ph) industrial control panels; using programmable logic control systems, advanced control techniques using VFDs, cellular remote monitoring systems, and power monitoring software systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD-Electrical (version 2023 experience desirable), creating schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and other electrical engineering documents.
Familiar with power distribution, HV high voltage reticulation & transformer systems (11,000V and 33,000V), and service switches.
Experience with electrical enclosures and/or sheet metal fabrication is a plus.
Strong computer skills; must be proficient with Excel; Microsoft Office preferred.
Experience in the water supply industry preferred but not required
