Kendrick Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious Luxury Wilderness Reserve located in the magnificent Western Cape. They are seeking a talented and guest-focused Assistant Food & Beverage Manager who is ready to bring their expertise, passion, and flair to an extraordinary hospitality setting.

Requirements:
A Diploma in Hotel or Food & Beverage Management
Minimum of 4 years experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial F&B role
Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with POS and stock management systems (Micros and FnBShop experience advantageous)
Highly presentable with excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
In-depth understanding of restaurant financials, stock control, and service recovery
Flexible and willing to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Confident in engaging with guests and leading teams effectively
Skills and Experience:
? WSET Level 1 or 2 in Wine and Food Pairing
? Training experience and strong mentoring abilities
? Exposure to Micros Symphony and Opera systems
Key Responsibilities:

Support daily operations within the Food & Beverage department, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction

Be actively present on the floor during peak meal periods, engaging with guests and providing exceptional service

Manage and control operating equipment, including procurement and inventory management
-
Plan and execute special F&B events and contribute innovative promotional ideas to enhance revenue and guest experience

Oversee staff rostering to ensure optimal labour coverage and cost control
-
Coordinate training initiatives to maintain a motivated and skilled team

Monitor and manage operating costs in line with budgetary requirements
