Company and Job Description:
My client is seeking an experienced Operational Financial Manager to take on a key leadership role in driving financial performance and supporting long-term, sustainable growth. This individual will oversee critical financial operations, provide strategic input, and ensure full compliance with all legal and internal governance standards.
 
As a vital member of the finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting strategic and operational decision-making, and driving efficiency through the optimization of accounting processes.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Planning: Drive the company’s financial planning processes by leading budgeting and forecasting activities, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
• Financial Operations Oversight: Manage day-to-day financial operations, maintain strong internal controls, and ensure effective cash flow management.
• Compliance & Risk Governance: Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies, while proactively identifying and mitigating financial risks.
• Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor the finance team, including one subordinate manager and two direct reports, promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Audit & Financial Reporting: Oversee the annual external audit process and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting with clear and insightful analysis.
• Financial Performance Analysis: Interpret financial data to uncover risks, opportunities, and operational efficiencies, providing strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Matric/Grade 12
Bachelor’s Degree in BCom Accounting, BCompt Accounting, or equivalent
Professional membership with SAIPA or SAICA
Xero experience would be beneficial
Experience in a membership or subscription-based environment would be highly advantageous.
