HAIR STYLIST

GOODWOOD – Cape Town Northern Suburbs, Western-Cape (South Africa)

START: A.S.A.P / 01 November 2025

TRADING HOURS & SHIFTS:

• Monday – Saturday | 09:00am – 18:00pm / 10:00am – 19:00pm (shifts rotate)
• Sunday & Major Public Holiday | 09:00am -17:00pm (Sundays alternate ON/OFF)
• 1x weekend off per month + days off in the week
• Annual Leave: 3x weeks per annum

REPORTS TO: Owner / Salon Manager

EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full time / Permanent

SALARY & COMPANY BENEFITS:

• R9,000 Basic per month
• Commission (tiered) 25%
• Bargaining Council Fee Contribution

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Certified Hair Styling or Cosmetology
2. Trade-Certified
3. At least 2+ years experience in a high-end salon, spa or ship environment
4. Cut, Colour and Style confident
5. Able to style male & female clients
6. Able to work retail hours & weekends as per operations

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Thorough understanding of current trends in hair
• Ability to develop rapport with clients, and to understand and help them explain/clarify complex/specific requests.
• Balayage, Colour, Highlights, Colour corrections
• Blow dry – all types of hair

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

1. 1. Able to assist multiple clients simultaneously
   2. Retail confident, comfortable with recommendations

   4. Confidently re-book clients
   5. Strong team-dynamic, but able to work on your own without supervision
