Johannesburg: Business Development Manager – Solar

A leading player in the renewable energy space is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive large-scale solar opportunities across South Africa and the region. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep networks in the solar PV industry and a proven track record of securing high-value projects. Non-Negotiable Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification (Engineering, Business, or Energy focus preferred) Minimum 810 years experience in business development within the solar/renewables sector Proven success in closing large-scale commercial and industrial solar projects Strong network with Developers, EPCs, financiers, and end clients in the energy space Excellent understanding of solar project development, financing, and tender processes Ability to travel and engage stakeholders at an executive level Job Experience & Skills Required: Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar PV Lead negotiations, bids, and proposals from concept through to project closure Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the solar ecosystem Collaborate with technical, legal, and financial teams to structure competitive solutions Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences Deliver on revenue targets and actively grow market share in the renewables space For more engineering jobs, please visit:
