Johannesburg: Senior Credit Controller

About the Role

An established organisation within the hospitality sector is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Controller to take ownership of the accounts receivable function across multiple entities within the group. This role is based in Sandton and offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full debtors invoicing process and distribution to clients
  • Oversee the issuing and distribution of debtors statements
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timeous collections
  • Manage and review the Guest Ledger ageing across all hotels
  • Invoice hotel tenants and manage non-hotel debtor accounts
  • Identify high-risk and potential bad debt accounts
  • Approve new client credit facilities
  • Review and approve bi-weekly third-party commission calculations
  • Approve EFT refunds and process online payments and credit card refunds
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Sales Managers and General Managers
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable Age Analysis
  • Create and maintain debtor accounts on the financial system
  • Resolve customer and internal account queries efficiently
  • Ensure confidentiality of all financial and business-related information
  • Assist with additional finance-related duties as required

Requirements

  • BCom Degree or similar financial qualification
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar Debtors or Accounts Receivable management role
  • Hospitality industry experience highly advantageous
  • Shared services environment experience advantageous
  • Proficiency in Sage Evolution, Protel, Microsoft Excel

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Credit Controller to join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our accounts receivable team, you will be responsible for managing high-volume retail accounts, resolving complex queries, and driving cash flow.
