Our client is seeking a Finance Clerk to support the finance team with accurate transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting. This role offers the opportunity to work across various areas of finance and gain exposure to both local and foreign transactions.

This role is based in Germiston, Johannesburg East.

Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Processing:

• Process local and foreign payments, receipts, and petty cash transactions.
• Capture and reconcile inter-bank transfers and overhead invoices in Acumatica.

Reconciliation & Reporting:

• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Compile short-term cash flow forecasts and analyse bank statements.

Record Keeping & Reporting:

• Prepare financial and creditor reports and ensure accurate data management.

Customer & Vendor Interaction:

• Handle queries relating to payments, reconciliations, and other financial matters.

Compliance & Controls:

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and statutory regulations.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Proven experience in a finance or accounting support role.
• Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica advantageous).
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and communication skills.

• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts
• Analyse and capture bank statements in line with company policies
• Prepare and compile financial and creditor reports
• Handle queries related to payments, reconciliations, and other finance matters
• Ensure compliance with accounting procedures, internal controls, and relevant financial regulations
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes as required
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Bcom degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
2–5 years in a financial administration or bookkeeping role
