Durban: Production Manager – Steel posted by Fusion Personnel

• Matric / Grade 12 required; technical/engineering qualification preferred
• Minimum 10 years in production management; industrial relations experience essential
• Proficient in MS Office and email
• Strong people management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage production schedules to ensure cost-effective operations
• Evaluate and improve production processes for efficiency, quality, and speed
• Allocate human and material resources according to budget; place orders as needed
• Maintain high overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and mechanical/quality yield
• Monitor daily production, product standards, and implement quality-control programs
• Work with managers to implement company policies and goals
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with maintenance to identify and resolve machine defects
• Supervise, motivate, and review staff performance
